Please be advised that over the course of the next few weeks equipment may be in the area of Fairfax Boulevard drilling holes.  This equipment is being utilized to perform geotechnical analysis as part of the Fairfax Boulevard DOT TIGER II planning grant.  The DOT TIGER II grant is being used to design and engineer the future boulevard.  For more information regarding Fairfax Boulevard and DOT TIGER II grant, click here. 

Due to American Public University's renovation and construction near the Ranson Civic Center, Lawrence/Buchanan Street from the railroad tracks to its intersection with Second Avenue will be temporarily closed.  Also, Second Avenue from its intersection with George Street west to Buchanan Street will be temporarily closed.  Detour signs will be posted. Thank you for your patience.   

Seventh grade students at Wild Wood Middle School are conducting a brook trout study at Flowing Springs Park to determine whether trout can be reintroduced into the stream.  Click here to follow the students progress.
