Project Summary: Proposed facilities and amenities for this project include replacement sidewalks, replacement curb and gutter, ADA curb cuts with truncated domes, pavement crosswalk striping, new street lighting, and new and replacement landscaping. Benches for pedestrians, a bus stop shelter and a community kiosk will be provided by the City of Ranson, outside of this funding request, as a compliment to this project. The City will also coordinate with the WVDOH for minor drainage improvements at the intersection of Third Avenue and Fairfax Boulevard. The project limits will begin at the intersection of Third Ave. and Fairfax Blvd. (State Route 115) and extend eastward along Third Ave., including the intersection of Third Ave. and Mildred St, and the intersection of Third Ave. and Preston St. At each intersection, facilities and amenities will be extended away from the main streets when the specific award amount and constructability is realized.
